Pain, Rain and goat tracks.
Challenging - pushing my bike up the side of mountains.
I was also wrong - I though if my clothes got sodden they wouldn't smell at the end of the day (how was I to know).
Some great views and pictures - but a truck load of effort.

Interesting day - I've had it confirmed that I've just travelled through the less salubrious parts of Italy.
North of Naples (along the coast) is one of the poorest parts of italy. I noticed this as I was cycling as the roads were rubbish. Also houses were is a poor state of disrepair and just shells

Another great day, had to believe only 350 odd miles left to Sicily.
I kinda forgot to take pictures. There was a.nice car that passed me by. By the time I'd stopped, taken my phone, switched to camera mode it was in France I fear.
The one of the building with the flag is because today I had a head wind

What a day, I missed a turnoff and ended up at the entrance to a moterway, I had to walk back about two miles ( on wrong side of the road.).
Another puncture - third this trip, so still much less than my Gibraltar one.
Still great fun and managed to get in 73 miles, it feels like I travelled 100, with the messing around.

Back on the road - it wasn't a bad idea to swerve cycling in pouring rain and I like trains journeys anyway.
My hosts we're wonderful, they seem to recognised a idiot. They allowed me to keep the bike at their B&B , drove me to the train and picked me up when I returned. Absolutely wonderful.

Another great day.
I had a bad cramp last night in my left leg, in spite of drinking buckets of water and taking the zero tablets.
I'm at the base of a horrible mountain that I decided I didn't fancy facing today.
Instead I'm going for a swim in the sea.

Went very well, kinda snuck around the bottom of the Alps - which allowed me to put some more miles on the clock.
Beautiful place to ride by this coast of Italy.
I found cycling 96 miles less energetic that walking around Nice, Cannes, Eze and Monaco.
Annoyingly I picked up another puncture just as I arrived

Only one more day to go.
92 odd miles and one or two hill to be encountered.
Thanks lots everyone who followed.
Its not the first time I've done such a journey - nor will it be my last.
Yet again I'm sorry that's it's finishing.
France is a wonderful country to cycle in and I would suggest that Italy is next
