Amazing ride. Nearly completely traffic-free for less confident riders. The few bits of road there are to clear are big, wide and fairly quiet anyway. Jumped on a train back to Newcastle and cycled home. Great day-ride you can start at 9 and be home to chill out by 2-3pm with lunch by the river in Durham.
