Very wet soft peat moss.
Sturdy boots are a must!
Stayed in the 'Hark to Bounty" Pub in Slaidburn. (Excellent food and varied menu).

Sadly, Richard, one of our group members passed away during the lockdowns when we couldn't meet up due to C-19 rules.
He had planned this route, so we designated it as his memorial walk.
We remembered him at Stanage Pole.
