The first station leads over the Reintal nature reserve up to the idyllically located Reintalangerhütte. It can be reached via the Partnach Gorge or via a small detour (about 4km) around the gorge.
On 2. Day it goes steeply up to the Knorrhütte, which is on the edge of the impressive plateau on the south side of the Zugspitze. There we leave our luggage to begin the ascent to the top. The steep ascent is characterized by a lunar landscape-like, scree environment. At the Sonn Alpin glacier lift, it goes up again through a very loose scree field, which is very exhausting. We climb the last part over rock secured by wire rope. We are rewarded with a breathtaking panorama and after a long break we start the descent back to the Knorrhütte.
The third day begins with a good breakfast before we go down over the Gatterl and a short, wire rope-secured passage to the Ehrwalder Alm. After a good meal, the rest of the way down to Ehrwald. From the train station you take the train back to Garmisch Partenkirchen.September 19, 2020
