On the day of German unity, walked past the remains of the wall from the last centuries. There was even a piece of the Berlin Wall. With the remains of the castle ruins, the walls of the Roman Canal and the Celtic ring wall, an epochal journey through time. Fortunately, the dams of the two dams are still intact.

We went to Kreuzweingarten by train. There a small round through the village and then covered the first meters in altitude towards the Hardtburg ruin on the signposted hiking trail.
Then continue towards the Steinbach Dam. On the way there past a former telecommunications office of the government bunker in Bad Neuenahr. The Steinbach Dam had to be circled of course and then across the forest to the Madbach Dam. Here too everything was nicely signposted and the paths easy to walk. From Talsperrensee I followed the 🐚Pilgerweg. Finally, it went through the Rheinbach forest over the Beulskopf and the Thomasbrunnen through the amusement park back to the starting point of my tour today.July 4, 2020
