The route starts from the railway bridge near the 97 bus stop. If parking is needed there is plenty at the council office (just after the start). The route leaves the playing fields parallel to the A40 and after half a mile passes under it and sharply back to the brook. The path along the brook can be muddy in wet weather, but after entering the golf course the going is better. Once you leave the golf course you need to navigate carefully. You can see that I overshot a couple of times.

My walk up from Cranham follows the actual line of the path and the route up to the Buckhold frm the Cotswold way needs a bit of care. Currently the area immediately next to the road is a bit overgrown. The decent to Cranham can be slippery and wet, but in all it is worth the effort.

Nice walk. Good views. Suitable for wet weather. The track has been chewed up by tracked forestry equipment around the cricket club, but I trust that they will add some more gravel.
