The official Waterlink Way route starts from Lower Sydenham. This is my adapted version. Mainly pleasant park riding but also some, unavoidable urban stretches. Some, limited on-road sections, so care needed with children or inexperienced riders.

This is a safer and slightly shorter version of the "local loop" that avoids the Steyning bypass by instead turning right at the Rising Sun pub and cutting through Upper Beeding and Bramber. When leaving Bramber, the route takes the cycle path that runs parallel to the main road for a short distance

Drunken-spider route from the Palace Pier, Brighton, to Devil's Dyke.

This is the route up to Devil's Dyke following the route of the disused train line, which is now a tarmac path. - The route from the pier to the beginning of the trail is a little random and involves porting your bike over the footbridge
