Yippeeeee 🤩 We made it – all the stages. Today's route was varied and really good. Fortunately, the weather cooperated, and we were able to leave our rain gear in our suitcases. Oh yes – speaking of suitcases: we'll have to carry them ourselves again starting tomorrow.

Tomorrow we'll take a taxi to Trieste

Today we headed back from Slovenia to Italy, in the rain, and I was wearing my little black dress (Kai, too, of course). The path was okay and initially climbed quite steeply through the forest. But it didn't last that way. At the border—the back door, so to speak—there was a sign outlining all the things

Today we hiked back to Slovenia and spent the night in Lipizzan. The town basically consists of the stud farm with the necessary infrastructure, a golf course, a hotel, and a casino.

The rooms are fancy and creatively decorated. Truly something different. It's like a horse stable.

During today's hike

Today, we weren't at all happy with the trail's direction, as it would have taken us quite far into the hinterland, away from the sea. However, we preferred to have the sea on our right. So we replanned the route and found a wonderful path that led us almost the entire way along the sea, above roads

Today's tour was mostly on narrow singletrack in the forest, on scree, and without any special views 🥴. We had a mini-adventure when a wild boar ran through the woods about 5 meters in front of us. We were totally startled and continued walking, talking loudly. The boar stayed close because we could

Today's hike began with light rain, which lasted about two hours. But it wasn't too bad.



Since there's hardly any elevation gain, we made it pretty quickly and arrived at our destination.



The hike itself wasn't particularly eventful or even scenic. Therefore, there aren't many pictures.

Today we headed back to Italy. It was a relaxing hike, but we still encountered thunderstorms and rain. It wasn't so bad because we found shelter. It's nice that the stages aren't as strenuous anymore.

Today's hike can be described quite simply: up the vineyard, down the vineyard, up the vineyard,...

😉. It was still beautiful. We were lucky and came across a supermarket along the way. Besides stocking up on supplies (mainly fruit), we also had a cold drink and, of course, an ice cream.

Today's hike felt more like a pleasant stroll to us. It was flat, and we walked past vines, fig trees, grapevines, olive trees, and grapevines. The only people we encountered were construction workers repairing the roads. There were at least four construction sites.

We also encountered an unexpected rain

Today is our last day off. The walk to Eurospar and back has already left us completely exhausted, so we need to recover. Our ice cream shop from yesterday doesn't open until 3:30 p.m. Unfortunately, we have to go out again today 😉. In between, we looked at some art.
