Challenging walk uphill out of Hornton village at the start but only for about 5 minutes. Around 40% passes through deciduous woodland mostly along the ridge of Edge Hill. Suitable for most abilities. Pubs at Hornton, Ratley and Edge Hill. It's possible to shorten the walk using intersecting footpaths.

Probably better to park near the pub in Shenington and start the walk from there. Around 5 miles in there is a steep hill through woodland. This could get very slippery after rain. I would recommend using walking poles for this section even in dry conditions.
