This was an incredible circular route! Amazing views of Derwentwater throughout! Cat Bells is a steady climb with some steep parts but very achievable for novices. Nearer the top you will be required to scramble but if you take you time it is very safe and straightforward. Coming down you will enter a woodland trail and are right next to the lake with various viewpoints and docks for photo opportunities. Overall great hike!
