An uncomplicated hike on a wide path. Over the pass, there are wonderful views and on the way back you can nicely see the white wall and the Durreck. On the way back, you can go via the Durra Alm. We had opted against this due to impending thunderstorms.

The ascent from St. Peter can indeed be very swift. The gravel road makes it possible. The path becomes beautiful from the Hasenalm onwards. The ascent to the end of the valley is uncritical. The ramp to the cross requires sure-footedness and a head for heights. The path to Durraalm is a bit challenging

A beautiful and challenging hike. The time estimate of 1h 50min from the Ursprungtal turn-off to the Kasseler Hütte is very ambitious. We took 3 hours. The trail is breathtaking!

The ascent from St. Jakob is quite a slog - very steep! The Hühnerspiel makes up for it. The descent from Steinerbachtal is partly permanently closed in the village area. This might cause trouble if you walk across the meadow.
