I did the tour with a dog, it was challenging. The dog must be fit and well-commanded, the Himmelsfortenweg and Purtscheller via ferrata are only for large, athletic dogs (or they must be carried). If you haven't had enough, you can go back to the Schafberg after the via ferrata, note the turnoff
