The first km of this walk is quite difficult. There is no clear path, with scrubby plants to navigate around and through. It has a few places where you need to climb up and over walls using your hands as well as just your feet. After the first km is done, the rest of the walk is on quiet roads or on well maintained paths. You can walk back to the hotel via the costal road from the centre of Eloundas. There doesn't seem to be any other way out of the hotel unless you go via the flat coast road directly to Eloundas, which means you miss out on all the quiet back villages in the hills above the hotel.
