Almost entirely in open terrain, so only do it when the weather is good, not too hot, and no rain (forecast).
It should also preferably not have rained 1-2 days beforehand, the descent is on clay soil and otherwise becomes slippery and extremely sticky!!

The parking lot is free - except in July and August, when it's only 2 hours. Then park further up at the lift or start at the south parking lot between the lakes (in the morning, definitely run along the eastern shore, which is nicer for photos). No refreshment stops (except in Molveno).

Very beautiful and varied tour through forests, meadows, vineyards along waterfalls, streams and lakes. Beautiful, varied hike through forests, streams, and meadows without any particular highlights. Stop at Zirmtal-Alm with the cockatoo whistling Pippi Longstocking (alternatively Alte Alm - also very nice). Definitely check and write down the season and opening hours of the huts in advance!

Parking is expensive everywhere (day ticket €7 in 2026). Alternatively, you can park for free at the youth hostel Grogg and take the bus to the Hintermartell terminus, then replan the return route to include Zufrittsee (instead of the way there).

The ascent is a bit sunny, best to start relatively early when it's warm. Stop at Pirchhof for refreshments.
Alternatively, you can replan from Naturns station if you come by public transport, then also delete the last Buschenschank, so that the downhill path becomes more pleasant.

Very beautiful hike, the path from the reservoir uphill is a pure (steep) gravel path. Depending on your desire for refreshments/hut opening times, you might want to reverse the tour. Sennalpe Raaz usually only opens in mid/late June. The Ehenbichler-Alm is also very good! If you prefer less altitude
