The Ruhr region is truly beautiful and green; the bike paths are now very wide and well-maintained. And the sausage at the Erzbahnbude (Ore Railway Stall) is delicious. The climb to the Hoheward slag heap is definitely worth it: the panoramic view from the top is breathtaking!
