This gorge is more adventurous and less crowded. If you go early you have it for yourself. Bring a torchlight for the cave, but don't disturb the bats. Wonderful cafe at the exit of the gorge at the sea. The iron ladders in the middle are still usable, but a bit dangerous. Not the official pathway. If you want to add more excitement you can do bungee jumping from the bridge crossing the canyon.

If you want to be independent from the ferry schedule and coming from direction Chora Sfakion. Parking is possible close to the viewpoint at the entrance of the hiking path. The hike requires a good condition. If you want to avoid the crowd, go as early as possible. It's getting very busy after 10am.
