Today’s route from La Casa Creativa in Hermigua to San Sebastián began with a small adventure. The plan was simple—to follow trail 33—but upon arrival, I discovered that trail 33 was closed ❗️🆘❌🚷⚠️‼️. I had to quickly find an alternative. I managed to choose a less-traveled path. The beginning was wild—literally, I had to push my way through a bamboo jungle. For a moment, it felt more like exploration than trekking, but after a few minutes, the path became clear and very picturesque. From there, the route led me along ridges and mountain slopes. I followed trail 32, which gradually brought me to a beautiful, more comfortable road. From there, the “final stretch” began—first a narrow goat trail, then several more ascents with truly spectacular views. The final section involved a strenuous climb near the windmills. ⚠️ Warning: About 5 km before San Sebastián, at the summit, the wind is extremely strong—it can be truly powerful and at times makes walking difficult. Overall: a diverse route, wild at times, but breathtakingly beautiful, with views that reward every ascent and every gust of wind.
