Actually, it's a very nice mountain hike, even for those over 65. Unfortunately, there are a few spots above the lower lake that are secured with iron bars and ropes. The passage through one of the tunnels is interesting.

A very leisurely hike with no downhill sections (good for your joints). Only near the St. Thun Gorge does the trail briefly become a bit steep. However, you can detour left toward the road and then take the leisurely path toward the Klammsee lake. Both paths soon converge again.
