The views at the top of the ridge are spectacular!  But be warned, nearly all the elevation comes near the start of the hike and is pretty tough (and there is very little shade during this part of the journey).

The first part of the hike is great, but the dirt road is kinda meh (except for a couple spectacular views of Tahoe).  Next time we may do an out and back to the falls.
