It's a beautiful hike with gorgeous views, but some sections are quite steep and loose gravel on baked dirt or bedrock can make for a slippery surface, even in dry conditions. If you don't trust your knees or shoes, bring hiking poles. Also, the trail is consistently exposed to both strong winds and
