For anyone who happens to see this - as of Spring 2025 there is some fresh logging along the route, and, especially near the end, the road is covered in extremely unpleasant rip rap. Avoid the section between Black Creek Rd and A-Line near the end.

Steep paved sections on Riordan Hill Road and Binns Road. Also a couple very steep gravel sections. One short section of hike-a-bike snow in early March 2025.

Tip: better to start from the hydro station or the Old Clackamas Highway Trailhead than in town. Long slogging climb but the payoff is worth it! Great gravel at the top and fun descent.
