Very nice hike along and in the river, mystic atmosphere. Check status of the river and rain condition: the flow can rise to a dangerous level. Grip of the shoes is paramount as many stones are slippery. Prepare to get your feet wet when crossing the water. Do not go alone.

Amazing hike. We did it without guide but from January this year it will be compulsory. Which is not a bad idea. Slopes are strong, the grip can be tricky with heavy rain, and if you're closing too much on the hot steam coming out of the ground you can get burnt. Remote place so no rescue availabke

Usually performed the other way around, but we wanted to finish the hike in the hot springs... It's a sort of segment 2, because in the area of Grand Bay we kinda lost the track and made another one by ourselves.
