Wanderung Paul's

Today's hike

"To the Crown" took us to the other side of the Hunte River. The turning point was the Dionysius Church in Holle, situated on a mound.

After a stop at a restaurant, we were able to experience a wealth of beautiful nature almost cross-country.

KLASSE!

There's a small gap in my notes again. 🤔

Actually, it was supposed to be "only" the 11 km hike around the Thülsfelder Dam, but Jörg also suggested the Dwergter Sand section.

It was a beautiful 18 km.

Highly recommended!

"Borni" - A very nice hike with lovely hiking friends through a beautiful part of Oldenburg.

The weather was perfect.

Unfortunately, Borni was out on tour...

Our hike on March 30th took us from the Elsfleth train station parking lot toward Huntebrück, then along the Hunte River to Berne Ohrt. From there, we walked a good distance into the Elsflether Sands.

Since the weather was getting—let's say—very rocky, we decided to cross the Hunte barrage near Elsfleth

With once again perfect hiking weather, we started our "Idyllic Wardenburg" tour from junction 58 towards Tungeln. Here, we passed Paul's Berliner quite by chance 🤭 and, of course, needed some snacks.

After about 8.5 km of hiking through meadows, fields, and the Lethe River, we reached the Wardenburg

With 16 participants, we set off from Varel Harbor, passing wind turbines, fields, and meadows, toward the dike. There, we discovered that, as always, the water was (far) away!

We 'had' to overcome a few obstacles on the dike to reach the Varel Lock. From there, we finally made our way along Varel Harbor
