Faro Island, Ria Formosa, São Lourenço Trail
Easy ride along the Caminho do Ludo through the Ria Formosa to Quinta do Largo. Then on the São Lourenço Trail and back to Faro Island to my favourite café for a beer and tosta mista. The Ria looked glorious today.

Cerro de São Miguel
A long steady climb from Moncarapacho for wonderful views from the Cerro de São Miguel. There seems to be some challenging bike and hike trails starting from the top.

Moncarapacho, Olhão, Fuzeta
On a beautiful Algarve morning a loop from Moncarapacho taking in a long section of the Ecovia through the salgados and the Ria Formosa. Komoot thinks part of this is off grid but it's actually an established cycleway. Get on it immediately south of the railway crossing at Quelfes.

Moncarapacho, Big Mat, Cerro de Sao Miguel
Fairly easy ride with fantastic views from Cerro de São Miguel. A long uphill climb and long freewheel down. E-bike recommended.

Around Pocilgais
Fairly easy route in the hills with stunning views. There is a 200 metre section where the track is overgrown and a bit challenging.

Sao Bras - Vilarinhos Loop
A short and easy ride from the car park at Intermarché through São Brás towards Vilarinhos, then back along a long downhill road with magnificent views. Finally through the old town of São Brás.

Cabanas de Tavira to Vila Real de Santo António
A wonderful ride mostly along cycleways and minor roads. It includes about 400 metres along the busy N125 but it's easy to cycle along the verge away from the traffic. The route passes though Manta Rota, Altura and Monte Gordo so plenty of cafés. Good food and fabulous view at the Grand Beach Club restaurant at the end of the ride.
