I don't recommend that shortcut to Șanta (last 1 km), only if you want to push hard the bike on ascend ; for decend should be a great downhill section, but a very steep one. You can check the pics..

I do not recommend going down from the Iezerul Mare lake along the river to the Iezerele Cindrelului refuge.. it is a wonderful hiking trail, among 3m+ very thick junipers, the path being very narrow, it was a pain to go down next to the bike (on bike didn't even pose a problem because it's very damaged
