There's the possibility to shortcut by taking the train, like I did because of unstable weather. But check the schedule or ask the conductor, because the last train up goes around 4 p.m.

The way between Krinofita and Lykouria is very bad, lots of stones and bushes. Plan some more time and bring hedge trimmers...
In Lykouria there's only a restaurant but not really an accommodation.
