Setting off from Dumbarton, Dan was now getting closer to Ben Nevis and the completion of his remarkable journey. Having ticked off both Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) and Scafell Pike, it was time to begin the long, arduous run up to the Scottish Highlands. I continued to support Dan from the saddle.
The shortest of sleeps, are becoming a theme,

The second day was a journey to the beautiful Lake District for Dan to take on Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain. I continued providing support from my bike and Dan was also supported by several friends at different points along the route.

This was the first day of Dan’s challenge. Starting at 5am, he ascended Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) from Caernarfon, before I met him at Pen y Pass and cycled alongside him to Garstang in Lancashire.
