Final stage (and return) of the Camino Francés from StJean PdP to Santiago de Compostela. 1600km, 8 high passes
Due to the removal of a spinal cord tumour, and additional damage in my neck and lower back, I am classified as 80% disabled. I had dispensation from the Pilgrim’s Office at SdC to use an assisted trike (no balance, use of cane/s, catheters etc) to finally finish the last 1600km of a trip started 10 years earlier near 79500 Melle in Western France on a “Mercury” steel upright that stopped abruptly at Dax when I lost the use of my legs, due to the tumour inside my spinal cord pressing against my vertebrae.
