Very nice combination with mountain hiking and a bit of via ferrata for the summit finale. The approach to the via ferrata is not entirely safe, sure-footedness is required here. From the via ferrata, you have a great view permanently. Exit directly at the Kaiser Franz Josef Kreuz on the summit at 1550

Very beautiful hike from Bad Hofgastein along the Gasteiner Ache river towards Bad Gastein. Initially very flat to walk until the beginning of the waterfall. Here you gain some altitude, but always along the magnificent waterfall. At the very top in Bad Gastein, you have another great view from the bridge

Start in Bad Hofgastein with some altitude meters right away. Then it becomes rather leisurely along the Höhenweg (ridge trail) with always great views into the Gastein Valley. The destination is Bad Gastein, from where you can take the bus back. Duration approximately 2.5 hours, difficulty: easy. 👍

Sometimes it's worth getting up very early, and today was one of those days. Simply indescribably beautiful to experience a beautiful sunrise on the mountain. And also met 2 nice people who also "tick" like that.
At 7:50, the jump into the warm Mondsee was the perfect reward.. Back home at 9:30.
