Beautiful walk along river Alvoco. The region will need some time to recover from the devastating fires in 2025. Villages and residential buildings could obviously mainly be protected and nature already takes over again.

The route is named PR 4 and is well marked. Starting from the lower church in Maciera de Alcoba this is an 8,5 km round trip southeast of the village. Mainly through eycalyptus forests and small villages, it has a nice viewpoint on the top and some smaller atractions like a "magic oven" on the route. Our Highlight in October were the (over)ripe grapes that had not been harvested and that even grow in the woods near the villages. The taste reminded us of passion fruits.
