Krousonas Anogia Axos Marathos loop
A demanding route on mixed surfaces, with plenty of climbing. Some remote stretches on dirt roads. Take plenty of water in summer, especially for the stretches from Krousonas to Anogia and Axos to Kamariotis.

Interesting route, but with two poor sections due to automatic route planning. The first is a hollow at the entrace to Krousonas (Agia Paraskevi turn-off) - stay on the main road. The second a very steep climb up a cement road on the return, to get up to the main…

Great time of year for this ride. Difficult between Agios Thomas and Douli - MTB territory really. Next time I would go the long way round, continuing towards Larani on better roads.
