Very steady if slightly busy climb out of Sheffield onto the moors, followed by a winding but fast descent to Calver passing Froggatt edge. The ride through the gorge in Stony Middleton is stunning, as is the sharp pull up to Eyam, which has no shortage of great cafe options. The second of the 3 big climbs on this ride takes you from Eyam up to the glider club, and a steady descent brings you to Hathersage. It’s all uphill from there until Ringinglow, but once you complete the climb gives you a complete break from pedalling or cornering for around 7km until you find yourself back in Sheffield. A great ride to see a different side of the peaks and rack up some serious climbing in over a very manageable distance.
