If you want to tackle the EmsAuenWeg in one go, it is possible if you are in good physical condition and have experience with cycling stages. The route is flat throughout and there are plenty of opportunities to refill drinks or stop for a break along the way. If you assume a 16 km/h average, you have

    1. Your second stage of the EmsAuenWeg starts as a two-day tour in the village of Gimbte. From here you cycle further north near the Ems. You pass an old arm of the Ems and the route leads you again through Emssauen areas until you pass the old Emsstadt Greven. The Ems runs right through the city here

    1. You start east of Warendorf. From the Vohren waterworks you start heading west and follow the Ems through the city with its historic city center. It is very worthwhile to make a first photo stop here or to enjoy a coffee. You then follow the river for a long way, never leaving the bank out of sight.

    1. If you don't have time for a longer route, this quick round trip from Bielefeld is perfect. Over a little more than 50 kilometers and just under 330 meters in altitude, it takes you from the sculpture park in the middle of Bielefeld past Werther to the north. You cycle back to the city via Vallenbrück

    1. If you don't want to climb the 1,000 meters in altitude every time or don't have too much time, this round is perfect for you. It starts at the coffee wharf, where the route ends again. So you have the opportunity to enjoy the good coffee before or after - or even both.

    1. Start and finish of this round is the old cycle track in Bielefeld. The distance and the altitude difference are perfect for a quick summer lap after work to leave the city behind for a moment. But the route also cuts a fine figure at any other time of the day.
