Got into hiking in summer of 2023 when I decided to head off to South Wales for a few days and climb Pen Y Fan, and have fallen in love with the activity ever since.
Unfortunately due to living in the South I don’t get on the peaks as much as I like and so when I plan a trip I like to fit as much in as I can.
I find hiking to be a a massive tool for dealing with anxiety and depression, through the short time of doing it I’ve met some amazing people and seen some beautiful views.
My favourite saying when things get tough is a quote from David Goggins (ultra marathon runner and general nutcase) “who’s gonna carry the boats”.
