Trail is lovely, varied nature. Technically, it‘s not a difficult hike, however any parts that are in the forest are VERY muddy ans can be slippery. Could you do it in sneakers? Yes. Will you have fun? No. You‘ll get stuck in the mud. Therefore waterproof boots that go above the ankle are highly recommended
