Road/Gravel bike route. Nice bit of climbing but not too much. Mostly quiet lanes. Lovely views.

This is a better route than the one someone else posted. Leave from the free Black Pool woodland carpark (note: there is a height barrier so taller vehicles will not be able to use, but there is a layby just past the entrance). The road section on the final return leg is a 10 minute walk on a path before

Walking boots or trail shoes a must. Uphill climb for 1st 1k then evens out. Take a carrot for the donkey and a biscuit for his dog friend! Gorgeous hike. Last downhill section off the trail onto the road a bit challenging.

Avoid the section after the 'Ugly House' (which is beautiful). It's unpassable due to fallen trees and bogs. Best return to Betws y Coed the way you go out.
