Too bad, Friedrich. I've always followed your tours closely. I've heard good things about OutdoorActive so far. It's also licensed by the German Alpine Association and is supposed to have better maps, at least for the mountains. But either way, dear Friedrich, keep moving.

Regards, Günter

Finally, a tour past the Maas and Waal to Beneden-Leeuwen. Not quite as varied as the Linge tour, but I was able to roll along nicely as it was mostly on dikes with first-class ground. Only the wind was a little annoying.

Overall, it was three very nice days in the Rievierenland, where I would love to

At 108 km, the Linge is the longest river in the Netherlands and meanders through a beautiful landscape parallel to the Waal, into which it flows.

The Betuwe is known as a fruit-growing area, so a tour is particularly recommended in spring when the fruit is in bloom.

As you mostly cycle on the dike, you

Because of the continued good weather forecast, I spontaneously decided to pay a visit to the much-praised Land van Maas en Waal. In the smallest Dutch Hanseatic town, Maasbommel, I found a free campsite and after I had settled in, I went on a little exploratory tour. The first impressions were positive

After the disappointing tour on Tuesday, I treated myself to another tour yesterday that I liked.

Lots of nature, a bit of culture and lots of water.

A beautiful day!

Since I couldn't think of anything better in a hurry, I had Komoot generate the tour for me and was disappointed once again. A rather boring tour with miles of straight stretches and sometimes poor ground. And often a lot of traffic. Not recommended for following.

Since good weather was forecast, I wanted to pay Tongeren another visit and then follow the Albert Canal for a few kilometers.

Tongeren is unknown to many here, but it is the oldest city in Belgium (founded in 15 BC) and worth a visit.

The route via the Tongersesteenweg to the Albert Canal is boring in

As the name suggests, I downloaded the tour from Rallyeman some time ago and added it to my own.

Very nice tour with constant ups and downs, which I love.

I would have preferred to have done without a few of the gravel sections, but that's hardly avoidable in East Belgium.
