A full-day trip on the new Östra Möckeln hiking trail: Insjöslingan and Diöslingan. Tested the new three-boat system between Möckelsnäs and Lång 🤩
The trail is not completely finished yet but it works fine to get around without a map and GPS even if it is a bit adventurous in places…
I started at Stenbrohult

Started the day by taking the train to Växjö and cycled south. Passed a nice nature reserve just south of town. Followed smaller roads with both gravel and asphalt and some shorter stretches with rougher macadam. Passed a few gates but didn't meet any bulls 😜
Bought ice cream at Vrankunge garden and

Cycled around the west half of Åsnen with a few detours here and there. Took the bike on the car to Trollberget and headed up north to Torne. There I got off east and cycled down the middle of Åsnen past Sirkön down to Urshult and then up to Trollberget again. It was like april weather in early July

Southeast Trail Stage 1-3: Växjö-Karlshamn
Three old railroad embankments in one day! I took the train to Växjö in the morning and followed the southeast trail south. After 10 km I came to the first embankment: Växjö-Tingsryd-Bredåkra Järnvägar and followed it to Tingsryd. There the southeast trail continues

Banvallsleden Vislanda-Karlshamn
I took my bike on the Krösatåget to Vislanda on Saturday morning. Mild weather and light wind from the southwest, perfect for a trip to Karlshamn! Unfortunately it rained on me from Vislanda to Grimslöv but I blew dry along Åsnen! It is an 80 road from Vislanda but in

A small day trip to Römningen from Älmhult.
Mild weather, completely calm and a full coffee thermos! A perfect round with many small sights such as stone coffins, old house foundations, swimming areas and an old dance floor! Mostly gravel roads and forest paths, in places quite uneven surface, a little

Old railway embankment Älmhult-Kristianstad.
A few degrees below zero, calm, clear and sunny weather. Perfect for a Saturday excursion to Kristianstad!
The Kristianstad-Älmhult railway line was opened between 1885 and 1909. Passenger traffic was discontinued in 1969 and freight traffic ceased in 1978

Älmhult-Hässleholm-Älmhult.
Halloween: Took a full day trip to Hässleholm via Osby, Hästveda and Ballingslöv. It was cloudy and quite chilly but no wind. Of course I took the opportunity to do some shopping in Hässleholm and have a coffee at Madrix 🤩
A little drizzle and dark before I got back home but

Two railway embankments: Olofström-Sölvesborg-Karlshamn-Olofström.
Saturday morning I took the car to Olofström and then cycled along the old railroad embankment south 29 km to Sölvesborg. The Sölvesborg-Olofström-Älmhult Railway was built in 1898-1901. The railway ran through three provinces: Blekinge
