Small free car park at the start of the Mercian Way off station road. Otherwise, parking is available in the centre of Nailsworth. A nice varied ride with a combination of off-road routes, canals, and cycle paths.

The roads from after the Hockley Viaduct are 40mph with few or no cycle lanes. We used the footpath a lot of the time for safety. We did not cycle as far as we'd planned because we were fed up of the busy roads. The traffic free section of the Itchen Navigation is very busy (even on a cold February

Pleasent ride along mostly quiet(ish) lanes and some bridle/byways. Some steep uneven sections on the offroad parts. All fine with care for most levels of experience. Though, likely to be muddy and more slippery in very wet weather. Easy ride on e-bikes for all fitness levels.
