Casa Filo TR01 - Monte Vettore

Monte Vettore loop from the little village of Altino. There is ample space to park a car, but please don't disturb the inhabitants. I climbed from the east side, a large part under cooling effect of the woods. But be aware: quite a lot of flies and other unidentified flying insects to bug you on the way in the forest. As soon as you get in the open space where there is a little wind, they give up :-) In the climb, you pass two springs to refill your water. Both are marked on the Komoot-map. If you want to reach the summit before large groups of other people climbing from the (easier) south, best leave early and aim for the summit before 11am. Descending on the ridge is astonishing, with magnificent views on both sides. Be ware that the ridge is pretty narrow and rocky at some parts, so sure-footedness and absence of vertigo is advisable. The descent may take longer than you'd expect, due to the difficult terrain. Two more little climbs during the descent lead to a few more summits. Beatiful views keep chaining up until you reach the forest again, from which it takes about 20min (running) to the village again.
