Thanks to the altitude, there were satisfactory to good (morning) ski conditions. The area is wonderful and 2 cross-country trails with skating area in between, what more could you want?

We originally wanted to go to the Chata pod Rysmi (mountain hut). This is only accessible via a more challenging footbridge just before the summit. Therefore, we turned around at the upper lake (Velké Žabie Pleso, or Great Frog Lake) about an hour before our destination.
