Danelaw Way between Swayfield and Pickworth
A beautiful and varied walk - just a rather boring straight footpath leaving Castle Bytham . A variety of footpaths, farm tracks and a short section of empty lane. A few places for dogs to drink

Corby Glen, Burton le Coggles loop
A really lovely walk clockwise apart from the last bit going back Into Corby Glen - so avoid this bit if you can. . The farmer has made it very difficult with tricky stiles going Into deep mud, with wire and no signage across 2 big fields so I went round in circles for ages !

Pointon circuit
A lovely walk. Not much water for dogs. No cows or difficult stiles. I took some pretty, quiet country lanes rather than some footpaths which went across the middle of large , bare fields . They would be better in the summer when the crops were there.

Balcombe loop
A really lovely walk. Some narrow, quite steep and tricky paths in the woods with tree roots and rocks There are a few handrails for support and a few wooden bridges and log crossings. I saw some white deer. The millennium seed bank was fascinating .
