Note from FULGAZ: This ride starts at the Circuit of Zolder next to the Albertcanal, in the Provence of Limburg. You'll ride along an ancient railroad that has been is transformed into a car-free cycle route. These cycle paths once started in Limburg but now connect the whole of Flanders and Holland. A lot of them are car-free. In this ride we go to De Teut in Zonhoven. Together with Ten Haagdoorn in Houthalen-Helchteren, it is a protected area (more than 1700 hectares) and is the largest part of heathland in the Provence of Limburg.

Note from FULGAZ: A tour of the Derwent Reservoir from Blackhill, near to Consett. The first 17Km/11 miles of this ride are off-road, climbing westwards along the Coast to Coast cycle route to the former railway station at Parkhead. Rest your legs on the fast descent to Edmundbyers with the reservoir finally coming into view at around 25Km/15 miles.

Barcelonnette was founded and named in 1231, by Ramon Berenguer IV, Count of Provence.[3] While the town's name is generally seen as a diminutive form of Barcelona in Catalonia, Albert Dauzat and Charles Rostaing point out an earlier attestation of the name Barcilona in Barcelonnette in around 1200, and suggest that it is derived instead from two earlier stems[specify] signifying a mountain, *bar and *cin (the latter of which is also seen in the name of Mont Cenis).[4][5] In the Vivaro-Alpine dialect of Occitan, the town is known as Barcilona de Provença or more rarely Barciloneta according to the classical norm; under the Mistralian norm it is called Barcilouna de Prouvença or Barcilouneto. In Valéian (the dialect of Occitan spoken in the Ubaye Valley), it is called Barcilouna de Prouvença or Barcilounéta.[6][7] Barcino Nova is the town's Latin name meaning "new Barcelona"; Barcino was the Roman name for Barcelona in Catalonia from its foundation by Emperor Augustus in 10 BC,[8] and the name was changed to Barcelona only during the Middle Ages. The inhabitants of the town are called Barcelonnettes, or Vilandroises in Valéian.[6

Note from FULGAZ: Enjoy this ride in County Kerry, starting in Castlemaine and then heading west on a near-flat route to Annascaul. The rollers start as you leave Annascaul. Turn north at Dingle town to climb the Connor Pass, one of the highest Irish mountain passes served by an asphalted road.

After cycling the length of the UK, this is the final 30 miles of LeJOG following along the north coast of Scotland from Reay to John O'Groats. As you finally roll into John O'Groats you can see the Island of Stroma and the Orkney Islands in the background. Pat yourself on the back, lift your bike high above your head, and celebrate completing this epic UK journey on two wheels!

Note from FULGAZ: A 50 Km anti-clockwise ride through the ancient New Forest in southern England, which despite the name was established by William the Conqueror in 1088! On the ride you will encounter the wildlife that the park is famous for including the iconic New Forest ponies, feral donkeys and large horned cattle roaming free which you will need to keep an eye out for. There are no major climbs on the ride but plenty of undulating terrain through a variety of woodland, parkland and open heathland. The last part of the ride ends with a flyby across an ex WWII airfield!

Note from FULGAZ: Starnberg and Ammersee are Munich's favourite lakes. Located to the south-west of Munich, they offer a wide range of sporting activities, including sailing, walking and cycling, with breathtaking views of the Alps. This tour linking the two lakes will give you little chance to see the water surface, but if the blue, green and yellow colours relax you, you'll enjoy the panorama and the small Bavarian villages. There are only a couple of short climbs that indicate that you are leaving the lakes waterfront.
