Went to Aschau im Chiemgau by train. From the train station directly to the Steinling Alm. The steepest sections are tarred, so it is very easy to drive. At the small chapel at the Steinlingalm we took a short break to enjoy the nearby Kampenwand and the view of the foothills of the Alps.

A short walk from the castle hotel. It was a lot of fun with the children. At the end there was a Kneipp bath.
Highly recommended as a little discovery tour in between.
