Short ride into the city to catch the train. Took extra notice of all the bike infrastructure, good and bad, because today is the day the mayor of Halifax is trying to pause bike lanes in Halifax. Had to basically push our way onto the train again because it was full of bikes!

Probably our slowest ride of the trip. Biking through very busy tourist areas on bumpy "bike" trails. Nice ride into Montpellier on some good bike lanes before playing some crib and celebrating our last real day on the bike before heading to visit some of Adrien's friends for the night.

Found an open bike shop so we rode into town to get Adrien's bike fixed. Some dirt seemed to have made its way into the pedal bearings so they cleaned it out, greased it and sent us on our way. Today was simply hard. We started early to avoid the heat but had to stop three times within the first 20km to try to diagnose a grinding in Adrien's pedal. We couldn't figure it out so we pushed on. After stopping at the Beaucaire market we had a nice section along a canal and then a couple busy road

Easiest day of the trip so far. 60km mostly downhill and almost all on rail trails. Started and finished early to avoid the worst of the heat. Stocked up on bread, cheese and saucisson at the Marché d'Apt and then tried the Meilleur Paint au Chocolat in Coustellet. It might be the first time we felt

We didn't need to move today so we had a relatively easy and short day touring the region around Apt. The hardest part was the heat! Thankfully we took lots of breaks including a great tour of the Mines de Bruoux. Swapped our bike helmets for hard hats.

Pretty easy day mostly on old rail trails. No wind and no rain made 77km feel easy. Only significant climb was the last 2km to the campground. Nice views of lavender fields and rocks along the way!

Short ride today after two train trips. We stopped at Décathlon before heading to our Airbnb in Courthézon. Needed bike tubes and tried to return our leaky tent, but failed!
