Actually... we wanted to cross to Denmark... but the bicycle ferry in Langballigau (LA for short 😂) only runs on weekends.
We quickly chose this beautiful route via Glücksburg and had a great breakfast in the castle café. It had everything: wind, waves, sun, forest, and beautiful nature.

At the end of September, when it still felt like midsummer, we set off for Gütersloh's city park. The route took us mostly along cycle paths and through tree-lined avenues. The city park is an oasis with beautiful old trees. The coffee was delicious and we headed back. A great round.

Summer is over today and we drove this beautiful tour in strong autumnal winds and clouds. Past picturesque houses, magnificent villas and parks and always with a view of the water. In sunshine this route must be fantastic. The coffee tasted good and we dream of a little house with a view of the water. Highly recommended.
