Ok, great tour. The first 40km were super exhausting, sandy climbs, mud and impassable forest paths. After that it went better, the paths were better and I kept rescheduling so as not to take the worst forest paths and every now and then to build in some road to relax (planning at Komoot in MTB mode is a killer feature). All in all a super nice route and then at the end another 40 really hard kilometers (a lot of sand, potholes and overgrown forest paths and no more strength with me. But: Done!

A very nice tour that has almost everything the region has to offer, from sandy horse trails to asphalt on the dike. In autumn you can even collect blueberries and apples along the way. The first half (Lüneburg-Hoopte) is much more demanding, with forest and trails, in Hoopte there is a stop at the ferry and back relaxed at the Ilmenau and through the villages. In principle, the tour can also be started from Hamburg (e.g. via Vierlanden and the ferry), but then the more demanding part comes at the end (possibly reversing the route) or by train to Lüneburg, and then by ferry over and on towards Hamburg.
