An easy hike from the Gehlberg campsite, always heading towards the Rennsteig trail to the Schneekopf. With the climb to the viewing platform, it's the highest mountain in the Thuringian Forest, and the second-highest otherwise. I highly recommend stopping at the new Gehlberger Hut right on the Schneekopf. 😋
