There is a portion of the trail that is not clearly marked in the beginning segment of this hike and includes a steep descent. It is best to find your own way while roughly following the route at this part. You're past that part once you reach the road. You should be in moderate shape to hike this trail.

The hike from Vrikshalaya to Umang is a short 30 minute excursion. Half of the trek is on trail, the other half is on the road. The first hill of the hike is steep, but after that the trek is mostly downhill. Be sure to bring some water!
