Pretty cool hike but very steep from the start with long 40 degree sections. Once passed the forest its beautiful, horses and cows chilling at the summit. Its downhill to Col Aspin and then i just walked the roads and a few pathways back down to Aspin-Aure, followed the river back to the main roads just before reaching Arreau.

Rust track from the bottom , brutal stair climb to start but nice walk afterwards. 95% route covered by forest so no real lookout points. Some tracks are closed due to storm damage but overall a decent walk. You will have to backtrack if you parked at the bottom as a loop is not possible because of closures.

Nice ride, but once around the back of the Volcano, the gravel is pretty tough and all uphill... once through the little town its all downhill to La Santa
